Along with a traditional gait analysis of the patient, we utilize a 3D CAD/CAM to create an imprint of the patients foot, which can then be processed and view on our computer software. This allows the clinician to see areas of excessive weight bearing and help design an orthotic with more advanced information than that provided by a traditional plaster cast. At the Foot and Ankle Clinic a general turn around from casting-to-fit of the custom orthotic is within 2 weeks
